The interface of the application is very plain and simple to navigate through. Videos can be imported via the file browser only, because the drag and drop method is unsupported. Batch conversion is permitted. In the list you can check out the name, format, duration and status of each file. Once you specify the output destination and profile (simply select your mobile type), you can proceed with the encoding process. In addition, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to codec, size, bit rate, bit rate tolerance, sample frequency rate, channels, volume, and others. Furthermore, you can save the filelist, invert the selection, uncheck the selected items, enable Mobile Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer when all tasks are completed, and more. In Preferences you can specify the default output location, enable the tool to overwrite existing files and to show the wizard at startup, and others. The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, quickly finishes a task and has a very good response time. The image and sound are kept at a pretty good quality. On the other hand, Mobile Video Converter froze and crashed a couple of times during our tests when trying to convert files of the AVI and MPG format. Also, theres no help file available. We recommend this software with reservations.
